The Faculty Senate Social committee held its first social event of the semester on
Thursday, November 16, 2017, to welcome the new faculty members to the team. The event was held at UnWind!, a locally owned, bistro-style venue. The event was from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Several faculty members were there to enjoy appetizers and socialize with our comrades. The social committee plans to have more events in the future and hopes to see you at the next event!
Reminder: we will be voting on the new bylaws for FACSEN on Thursday (Dec 7). See the webpage for more information. We will not be taking suggestions at the meeting, only considering those that have been sent before via the protocol outlined in the announcement (http://ctcfacsen.wixsite.com/facsenctc).
Proposed Bylaws: New Bylaws have been drafted and published for review. The document can be accessed through the "Governing Documents" tab above. Please take some time to read through the proposed as we will need to vote to adopt the bylaws in the near future. All suggested amendments should be sent in writing to faculty.senate@ctcd.edu. In such a proposal, please be specific regarding the actual text to be modified, removed, or change. Please do not send theoretical changes or hypotheticals, only specific amendment suggestions will be process.
